Connecting Immigrants, Refugees To Tech Jobs

There are nearly 2 million immigrants and refugees currently in the U.S. who have college degrees from their home countries but are unemployed or working far below their skill level. The Bay Area Council’s Workforce of the Future team, in partnership with Upwardly Global, hosted the third annual Technology Career Fair for Immigrants and Refugees. Fifteen employers, including several Bay Area Council members, came together at the Autodesk Gallery to speak to over 80 immigrant and refugee job seekers about open positions at their companies.
