City of Tracy Seeks Feedback on Alternative Park-n-Ride Locations

15 Feb 2016

The City of Tracy and the San Joaquin Council of Governments “Commute Connection” released a survey today, which seeks to obtain information on existing commuter patterns and practices. It also requests feedback from local commuters to help identify alternative Park-n- Ride locations in Tracy.

In January 2016, the Tracy City Council approved the development of a new Chipotle Mexican Grill and Panera Bread development at the current Naglee Road Park-n-Ride location. Construction is scheduled to begin in late spring and efforts to locate and secure an alternative Park-n-Ride location is currently underway.

Andrew Malik, Director of Development Services states, “The City of Tracy recognizes the importance of Park-n-Ride lots to communities in providing commuters secure and convenient locations that encourage ride-sharing and public transit. By obtaining direct feedback from existing park and ride users, we can identify alternative locations and facilitate a smooth transition for our Tracy commuters.”

Commuters can access the brief, eight-question survey by visiting the City of Tracy’s website at www.ThinkInsideTheTriangle.com, directly at www.surveymonkey.com/r/tracyparkandride, and through the City of Tracy and Commute Connection Facebook pages. Commute Connection has also included a link to the survey in their February 2016 newsletter. The survey will be available until February 23, 2016.
