Notice of Funding Availability - City of Tracy Small Business Relief Grant Program

Tracy, Calif. – The City of Tracy Economic Development Team is pleased to announce the release of $500,000 to provide immediate, flexible financial relief to Tracy small businesses in the form of one-time grants in the amount of $5,000 per eligible business.  The goal of this program is to preserve local jobs and provide flexible assistance to vulnerable businesses that are experiencing significant challenges due to the COVID-19 global pandemic.

“We want our small business owners to know that we hear them and understand their desire to remain open so they and their employees can thrive,” said Mayor Nancy Young. “While we continue to explore all the ways we can continue to support our local businesses, it is our hope that this program provides some relief and assurance of our commitment to getting through this difficult time together.”

Key grant qualification criteria are:

Business license

Active as of December 1st, 2020

Grant amount

$5,000 per business

COVID-19 impact

 

Net revenue or financial position decline of 20% or more*

Business size

 

20 full-time equivalent employees or below

 

Eligibility

 

Brick and mortar businesses located in the City of Tracy who have not received Small Business Forgivable Loan Program Assistance from the City

*Note: must provide financial documentation either month-over-month or quarter-over-quarter within a 12-month period with the latter date after March 2020.

Applications, loan eligibility criteria and frequently asked questions are available here. This information will also be emailed directly to all Tracy businesses with an active business license.  The City will begin accepting applications via email at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 and review them on a first come, first served basis.

Applications submitted early will not be considered.  Questions regarding the submittal or eligibility criteria can be sent to econdev@cityoftracy.org.
